Radical Action

Our work helps our clients make bold moves. We do not live in a time when incrementalism is acceptable. It is a time of opportunity. A time when courage – or as we say ‘GUTS’ – is the greatest virtue.

In fact, ‘GUTS’ is our word for 2010. We predict it will have been an accurate reflection of the zeitgeist. A new brand imperative. If 2009, as suggested in last year’s card, was the year of ‘rethink’ (and we think it was) then this will be a year for serious action. More than just ‘courage’; ‘Guts’ demands action – radical action. The guts to start your own business, to emigrate, to stand up or for or against, to survive, to lead, to reinvent, to retake control of your life, your business, your brand, your country. To fundamentally change your approach to everything. Figure out what you believe in. And act on that. Guts.

School Tours – to experience is to know. We’ve moved the team to Warsaw to better understand Polish consumers, opened a stall at an organic/Slow Food conference, blagged our way into one of the world’s biggest youth fashion expos, joined in the over 70s protests…more to come.

We, and some of our clients, begged on the streets of Dublin to try to understand, to some degree, what it’s like for Simon clients; we’ve invented new research techniques; moved into target consumers’ homes.
